News From Froggy's Country Storybook

Froggy Teams Up with St. Jude's Children Hospital

Froggy's Country Storybook lent a hand to St. Jude's Children's Hospital recently by participating with New York radio stations Y107 and WRWD in the St. Jude's radiothon. Each year, radio stations throughout the nation conduct radio telethons to raise money for St. Jude's Children Hospital and Froggy has offered to work with many of the stations to bring needed funds to this worthwhile organization.

Froggy's Country Storybook donated copies of the four stories in the series to be used as incentive gifts for listeners and doners. The stories created quite a bit of interest in helping out St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

We were "hoppy" to help!

Third Froggy’s Country Storybook in Series Released

Featuring Country Music’s Hottest artist, Terri Clark

Virginia Records announced that it is releasing the third Froggy’s Country Storybook in its children’s book on tape series. The classic tale of The Ugly Duckling features the voice of country music’s hottest artist, Terri Clark. Virginia Record’s version of The Ugly Duckling has been adapted to have a country flair and is hosted by Froggy, the loveable treefrog character who is entwined into the series. It also highlights familiar country music tunes including, I TRY TO THINK ABOUT ELVIS, IF BUBBA CAN DANCE, HOW WAS I TO KNOW, TAKE ME AS I AM and others.

"We are very excited about this exceptional cassette series for children," Joe Messina, President of Virginia Records said. "We are proud to produce this champion product for children that combines the hot country music artists of today with classic children’s stories, and yet achieves such a universal appeal."

The Ugly Duckling is the touching tale of an awkward swan hatchling who feels less than sure of himself due to his size difference from his brothers and sisters, and because he has drab gray feathers instead of the usual white fluffy down. He searches the countryside for love and acceptance until the day he realizes he has grown into one of the most beautiful swans on the pond.

Froggy’s Country Storybook is the first-ever narrated tape series of classic children’s stories with a ‘good ole country twist,’ and a great group of country mega stars helpin’ out with the storytelling. In addition to Terri Clark’s version of The Ugly Duckling, Pam Tillis lends her silvery voice to tell the tale of GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE BEARS while Bryan White’s youthful and exuberant voice recounts the story of JACK AND THE BEANSTALK.
